ROUSH in NMRA Drag Racing with Modular Muscle

ROUSH in NMRA Drag Racing

Jack Roush's ROUSH Performance was able to do benchmarking and live testing in the NMRA Drag Racing Series as a real-world method of testing the newest line of Competition Parts and allow for development of the street legal ROUSH Drag Pack Ford Mustang. The overall experiences the company has had working and playing in the NMRA series has lead Jack & Company to expand the relationship in 2007 with a direct sponsorship of the entire Modular Muscle class.

NASCAR Drivers Tackle the Shelby GT500

Ford Mustang Shelby GT500

The latest Bold Move from Ford involves a set of NASCAR drivers and the headlining Shelby GT500 Mustang. Ford invited Jamie McMurray, Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth, and Greg Biffle to come tear up a brand new test track for a promotional run to see just how the GT500 stands up and measures with professional drivers on a closed course. The energy this car has is apparent when one of the drivers refers to the car as a "race car" because it performed exceptionally on the course. Check out the video for yourself and see what all the excitement is about!

Jack Roush Jr in First Grand-Am Cup Start

Posted October 2, 2006 11:17 AM by Tim Beggs

Jack Roush Jr in Grand Am Cup

The son of the famous Ford Mustang racer/entrepreneur, Jack Roush, is set to capitalize on his motorsports career with his first start in the Grand-Am Cup series on October 7 at 2p.m. (Central time). The versatile 33 year old Jack Roush, Junior has made his way from racing go-karts, through drag racing, and now seeks to conquer the twisties at the track in the Grand American Road Racing Association. Roush, Junior will be one of three co-drivers in the six-hour season finale at Virginia International Raceway, piloting the number 59 Rehagen Racing Ford Mustang along with Dean Martin and Ray Mason. Sponsorship, of course, is provided by ROUSH Performance as well as Brandon Ford, Columbus Truck & Equipment and Racer Bargains and he will race in the Grand Sport (GS) class--the premier division in the Grand-Am Cup. "I am really nervous and really excited at the same time about this race" said Roush, Junior. "I don't quite know what to expect but I do know that this (road racing) is something that I have really wanted to do for a while now so this is sort of the fulfillment of a dream." With over 75 cars already registered for the race, including 42 in the GS class alone, Roush Jr. is certainly going to have his work cut out for him.

John Force will be running the 2006 NHRA season in an all-new 2006 Mustang funny car. He had hoped to use the new body style in 2005, but the introduction was pushed back to the '06 season.

Will he win with his new Mustang? Is the Pope Catholic?
