The 3rd Degree: 2007 Jack Roush Stage 3 Ford Mustang
Posted April 27, 2006 12:51 PM by Tim Beggs.
So many things in the world come in 3’s: breakfast/lunch/dinner, small/medium/large, good/better/best…you get the idea. Jack Roush’s new stable dweller is no exception to taking the power of three to the extreme; the new Stage 3 is the fastest, best-handling, and most eye-catching Mustang in Roush Performance history.
A ROUSHcharger system makes the revamped Ford Mustang put out 415 hp & 385 lb-ft of torque. Even Jack Roush himself declared, “This is the best Mustang we have ever built.” Hard to contest those words, too. The 4.6 liter, 3-valve OHC engine includes an intercooled supercharger setup, a custom ROUSH-calibrated ECM, and multiple other go-fast goodies.
“This new ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang will literally turn heads twice,” claimed Joe Thompson, general manager of ROUSH Performance Products. “The first time is when they see how much better this car looks, and the second comes as you put your foot in it, kick in the ROUSHcharger, and blow by just about anything on the road.”
