How do you make a high performance special edition Mustang even more special?  Start with a Saleen Ford Mustang and celebrate Saleen’s 25 years of existence.  Saleen’s latest steed, dubbed the Sterling Edition, is based on the Saleen S302E Ford Mustang and will have the same supercharged V8 with an output of 620 horsepower and 600 lb-ft torque.

Newly designed forged wheels, hand painted racing stripes and anniversary fender badges will be the exterior distinctions of the Sterling Edition Saleen Mustang.  Interior upgrades will include a push-button start, Black Diamond alcantara seats with leather accents and a center console navigation system.

 

 

If you happen to have $99,995 lying around, cancel your weekend tee time; the purchase of this vehicle includes a first class flight to Detroit, limousine transportation, dinner with select Saleen brass, a tour of the Saleen plant and a custom leather jacket.  A mere 25 Sterling Edition Mustangs will be produced and our best guess is that they’ll go fast – almost as fast as the cars themselves.

These special edition Saleens Mustangs are nothing new to the company.  Beginning with the SA-5 Mustang in 1988, Saleen has produced an anniversary inspired Mustang every 5 years.
