The following pictures provide an insider's look at the Parnelli Jones special edition Saleen assembly line.  You can see the cars being put together step by step.  However, probably the most intriguing thing in the pictures is the white Mustang seen with a Boss-like stripe.  Could it be a new Boss from Ford or Saleen?  Only time will tell.  We've been begging for a new Boss for some time now.  Maybe Ford decided to listen, or Saleen is going to profit on what Ford couldn't produce.  Come inside for the rest of the pictures.

The Parnelli Jones special edition Mustang was created by Saleen to bring a bit of Trans-Am nostalgia back into the air.  The bright orange paint and black stripes give you the feeling that you are driving a race-equipped Boss 302.  Completing that feel is the sound of a 302 cubic inch modular motor under the hood providing 400 hp and 390 ft-lb of torque on 91 octane pump gas.  Only 500 will be made so grab yours while you can.  Stay tuned to Planet Mustang for more information on the Parnelli Jones and possible Boss Mustang.
