2008 Ford Mustang Order Guides E-mail

2008 Ford Mustang

The 2008 Ford Mustang and Shelby GT500 order guides are now available for every Mustang fan to ponder upon and figure out what options are going to be on their next pony car.  2008 is set to be a direct carryover year, but there are some subtle changes the discerning eye is sure to catch.  More detail to follow.

Three colors are being dropped while three new ones are replacing them: Silver Clearcoat Metallic (YN), Dark Candy Apple Red Clearcoat Metallic (JV), and Vapor Clearcoat Metallic (ZY) are set to replace Satin Silver, Redfire, Tungsten, respectively.

Some significant options slated for 2008 include ambient interior lighting (95M), HID headlamps (51H) and the V6 Mustang coupes will have an option to wear some new shoes--the 18 inch Premium Polished Forged Wheels.  Additionally, the V6 coupe will have a new V6 Safety & Security Package offering Anti-Lock Brakes, Traction Control, Active Anti-Theft System and a wheel locking kit.  Side-impact airbags will be standard on all 2008 Ford Mustang models.

Holding true to form, Ford is going to launch the Warriors In Pink Package (54S).  It will have an automatic transmission coated in just three colors: Black, Performance White, and Silver Metallic.  On the inside, the Warriors In Pink package upgrades to the GT Leather Seats that have Pink contrasted stitching, dons the IUP package steering wheel with Pink stitching, a lower rocker stripe in Pink metallic, some charcoal floormats with Pink trim & pony logo.

The GT-CS (California Special) is back on the scene in two of the three new colors offered: Dark Candy Apple Red and Silver Clearcoat Metallic.

Not much has changed for the 2008 Shelby GT500--its only noteworthy change is the addition of HID headlamps as well as the ambient lighting options found on the other production Ford Mustang models.  One new color has been added to the pallet for the GT500: Vapor Clearcoat Metallic (ZY).

We don't see any hints at the 2008 Bullitt or the 2008 Boss Mustang in the order guides (below), however we trust that Ford will hold to its promise that we'll see it offered for 2008.
