Close your eyes and imagine the ability to turn your loud, wind-noise infected convertible Ford Mustang into a quiet, sleek, and safe-from-all-weather conditions machine.  An option available once to only the elite automobiles, a retractable hardtop is now available for the new 2008 Mustang.  The first of five prototypes is on the way to the United States as you read this article.

The Ford Mustang has more racing wins than any other Ford product in North America and is now positioning to cross the pond to Europe in order to continue its success.  Crafted by Ford Racing, the Ford Mustang FR500GT and the Ford Mustang FR500C will likely soon be set to race in the Federation Internationale De L'Automobile (FIA) GT competition.  Teams from Europe are already raising eyebrows at the cars, and can envision the pony cars performing very well on some of world's greatest race tracks.

Ford Motor Company is set to release yet another limited edition Ford Mustang, with the V6 pony car to adorn some slightly feminine touches.  Potential thoughts at this point are to have a white, black, and perhaps another colored car adorned with pink stripes on the outside and minor pink accents (such as stitching and some trim) on the interior.  Sorry folks, no Playboy Pink as the base coat.  The order of this décor is to generate proceeds to be donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

The Legendary Ford Mustang will soon add two more hues to the available color selection.  Some quick camera work (shown above - click for hi res) captures both the Amber Gold and Grabber Blue paint shades for us.  The Grabber Blue is absolutely electrifying and the Amber Gold screams to take home the cup.

TPI's "Pit Viper" #001 was one of the best-selling Ford Mustang specimens @ Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale going for the low, low price of $154,000.00--it could have sold for more.  The benchmark has been set and Total Performance Inc.'s "Pit Viper" is over a $150,000 automobile.

Several authors over the years have written about the legendary Ford Mustang and its continuing legacy.  Much focus from the Mustang's past remains strong even today, with the ideas from Carroll Shelby still making a market impact.  Wallace A.Wyss, a writer who hails from Detroit Michigan but who has made his home in California for 36 years, has written a new book entitled SHELBY The Man. The Cars. The Legend.  Wyss, also is also shortly publishing Ford GT40 and the new Ford GT, specializes in Ford, having previously written The Super Fords, Shelby's Wildlife: the Cobras and the Mustangs, and DeTomaso: the Man and the Machines.  Folllow a Q&A with Wyss below on the background behind his book.
