Pounding its way onto 300 select Texas and Oklahoma dealership lots, the 2006 Ford Mustang Stampede Edition is poised to become a desired collector's item. A mere 500 of them are to be sold to the public, with each one being accompanied by an authentically engraved and numbered plaque. "[The Ford] Mustang has a long tradition of offering special packages like the Twister and California Special," said Mark Grueber, Ford's marketing strategy manager for the Southwest region. "We have a special Texas Edition F-150 and Super Duty, and Mustang is such a part of the Texas landscape, we thought it would be a natural fit." |

Yesterday, Ford Motor Company advised dealerships that 9,000 2007 Shelby GT500 Mustangs are going to be produced. This is a welcomed bump from the initial projected production numbers in the 7,500 to 8,500 range. Everything for production is on schedule and most all deliveries are anticipated to be on time, shipments beginning during the last week in June. By the end of May, dealerships are slotted to receive their exact allocation numbers. |

A signature agreement has been reached between Carroll Shelby International Inc. and American Racing Equipment, Inc. to team up and release the "Carroll Shelby Legend Series" of aftermarket sport automotive wheels. This April, the venture will hold host to purpose-designed wheels for Shelby Cobra and Ford Mustang enthusiasts, brandished by legendary names in the sports car world. Eric Carr, American Racing's Vice President of Marketing, recently announced the two wheel styles for production: the Shelby Razor and the AR427 Shelby Cobra. |
