Shelby & American Racing Release Special Edition Wheels

A signature agreement has been reached between Carroll Shelby International Inc. and American Racing Equipment, Inc. to team up and release the “Carroll Shelby Legend Series” of aftermarket sport automotive wheels. This April, the venture will hold host to purpose-designed wheels for Shelby Cobra and Ford Mustang enthusiasts, brandished by legendary names in the sports car world. Eric Carr, American Racing’s Vice President of Marketing, recently announced the two wheel styles for production: the Shelby Razor and the AR427 Shelby Cobra.
“American Racing is celebrating it’s 50th Anniversary, so we teamed up with Carroll and his group to offer an exciting selection of purpose-designed wheels for specific performance applications,” Carr stated, “Shelby enthusiasts will be excited about both designs—the AR427 is nostalgic and traditional with many fitment choices, and the Shelby® Razor is definitely a zoomy modern muscle look for the new Ford® Mustang owner.”
“Our wheel project with American Racing is a perfect fit,” said Shelby, “every American muscle enthusiast should be excited--stay tuned, we have some real surprises in store for the hardcore collector, as well as the daily driver.”
The new American Racing Shelby Legend Series is to be distributed though select, authorized tire and wheel retailers, automotive dealerships, automotive specialty shops, chassis builders, and of course, Shelby Automobiles, Inc.
