It has certainly been a year for special edition Ford Mustangs.  We've seen everything from the California Special, the Parnelli-Jones Saleen, the Shelby GT500, upcoming GT500 KR, and the Shelby GT just to name a few.  However, a press release was issued today that will trump anything that has been seen to date.  Not surprisingly, it comes from Shelby.    

The racing legend who brought (notably) the Ford Mustang as well as other Ford and Chevrolet vehicles out of mainstream and into the aftermarket, has decided to call it quits.  After 23 years of tinkering with toys at his nameplate business he founded, Steve is leaving the helm in the hands of a superior management team that is sure to keep customers and the commitment to performance in line with the company's past and future objectives.  Don't expect him to fade away entirely, however.  Saleen is still a major stakeholder in the company and will most likely maintain ties and influential impacts to the Saleen dream in times to come.  Check out the full Press Release from Saleen, Inc inside.

Digging up roots from Pompano Beach, Florida, Steeda Autosports has decided to move onward and upward to a new location for its headquarters and distribution facilities in Georgia.  The Ford Mustang aftermarket specialist company has decided the new location and its relative position to two prime Interstate routes will make for a great spot not only distribution purposes, but for sales and service as well.  Steeda President Dario Orlando mentioned that other sites were examined in Alabama, North Carolina, and a few other Georgia cities, but the ultimate choice was made to make camp in Valdosta.  Check out the full Press Release from Steeda inside.

TPI's "Pit Viper" #001 was one of the best-selling Ford Mustang specimens @ Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale going for the low, low price of $154,000.00--it could have sold for more.  The benchmark has been set and Total Performance Inc.'s "Pit Viper" is over a $150,000 automobile.
